About Gary Swan

Gary was certified to teach the Texas Concealed Handgun License Course in 1995 and has certified thousands of San Antonio Area residents. He and his wife Dee, own and operate a martial arts training facility in Universal City, Texas.

 

He is a retired US Army command sergeant major with 30 years service in various special operations units including; Ranger, Pathfinder and Long Range Surveillance.

 

He has taught tactical firearms classes for over twenty years to law enforcement personnel and civilians at his private firing range in Marion, Texas.

 

Gary is a senior graduate of Col. Jeff Cooper's famous Gunsite Training Academy in Paulden, Arizona. He has studied tactical firearms with such notables as Ken Hackathorn, Louis Awerbuck, Jim Crews, John Farnham and Clint Smith.
